- Hair is cleanly sectioned and wound with even lift in a simple directional pattern, without hooked ends and to avoid breakage, rubber marks or drag.
- Chemical reformation products are applied according to manufacturer's instructions and ensuring client comfort and safety.
- Hair is processed and checked to achieve predetermined degree of curl or body.
- Client and operator comfort and safety are ensured at all stages of winding and processing, according to relevant legislation, manufacturer's product safety data sheets and workplace policies and procedures.
- Rinse and neutralise hair.
- Hair is rinsed thoroughly and evenly to remove residual perm solution.
- Excess water is evenly blotted from hair according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Neutralising products are selected to match reformation chemicals.
- Products are measured and applied in accordance with manufacturer/senior operator instructions and so as not to disturb hair on rods.
- Client and operator comfort and safety are ensured at all stages of rinsing and neutralising according to relevant legislation, manufacturer's product safety data sheets and workplace policies and procedures.
- Provide after service advice.
- After service maintenance advice is offered to clients.
- Home care products are recommended to clients.
- Outcomes of service are reviewed against established client expectations and client satisfaction is confirmed.
- Client history is updated to include product selection, technique, outcome of service and home care products purchased.
